Battery and Charger operation guidelines and replacement.

The internal Cyclon Lead cell battery pack inside the Battery-box need to be replaced if:
- The Battery-box does not charge anymore (the Charger keeps indicating "ready" when the Battery-box is connected)
- The Battery-box keeps charging forever (the Charger indicates "charge" for longer than approximately 6 hours)
- The Battery-box charges very quickly, and/or discharges very quickly (less than an hour or so)

Getting Maximum battery life:
Batteries should be fully charged before storing, and should be recharged at least twice a year. Storing an empty battery will kill it quickly (within months). When you use the batteries regularly and always recharge the batteries immediately after every use, then they will last for 500-1000 discharge/recharge cycles. It is not necessary to cycle the batteries (to empty them completely before charging). Completely discharging the batteries only shortens their life.
You can leave the Battery-box connected with the Charger for indefinitely time. The Charger will keep the Battery-box in full state of charge, but will not overcharge the Battery-box. We recommend to use 1 Battery-box and charge the other Battery-box, and after and experiment swap the 2 battery-boxes (to ensure that both batteries are used and charged). Most important thing about Lead Accu's is to: "always keep them full"

Replacing a defective battery:
It is possible to order a whole new battery box or to only replace the internal cells.
We advise to only replace the internal cells and to do this yourself. Replacing the internal cells is an easy job and you will save yourself the back and forth shipping, packing and shipment costs of shipping the Battery-box to BioSemi.
The ordercode for a whole new Battery-box is: 'BATTERY BOX' (550 Euro)
The ordercode for only the internal cells is: 'CYCLON' (150 Euro)
We can replace the internal cells for you or you can replace the internal cells yourself.
We will charge shipping costs for shipping the Battery-box back to you.
If we replace the cells for you, the price will remain the same (150 EUR), we do not charge for the installation. You can then ship your Battery box to us, we will replace the internal cells and ship it back to you within 2 working days (do not forget to include a note with your return address). If you choose to replace the cells yourself, then this can be done by somebody with basic soldering skills. You need to open the Battery box (4 screws at the bottom), de-solder the 2 wires of the old battery, and then solder the 2 wires of the new battery.
